Lighting and decor played a huge part in helping the Berkshire County Kids' Place with their cirque themed 2016 "Cirque Du Hope Gala" held at the Crowne Plaza in Pittsfield.
We agreed it would be cool to prominently feature custom monograms of their full-color corporate logo (the one on the left) alongside one centered over the main performance stage that was unique to the occasion at hand (the one on the right). The one on the right was featured on the evening's program cover and on all social media and printed publicity materials leading up their biggest fundraiser of the year.
The single biggest impact on this area's largest ballroom where the event was held was thanks to my powerful, wireless, LED uplighting. The event committee had narrowed the color palette down to teal, fuschia, and purple, so that's what I did! They focused on those three colors when they designed the centerpieces for the many dining tables. They also had my help to install sheer ceiling decor which then took on the color of some powerful lighting focused that way. During the dance party that followed, that ceiling underwent some dazzling color changes and slow-fades!
The event featured live performance artists and dancers throughout the space, each under their own spotlight. Once the guests were seated for dinner, and the focus shifted to the podium, these spotlights faded off and we were done with them. The main aisle down the center of the Grand Ballroom featured all 4 of my 9-foot, crystal columns.
For this colorful and hypnotic event, the crystal columns continuously faded from one color to the next, out of sequence from one another, and through all the colors of the rainbow! These, along with one of my matching crystal chandeliers hung over the main bar (and executing the same color changes) were among the centerpieces of the decor!
